Keep track of Argentinian national football team

It’s not a very important that you do, but keeping track of when the Argentinian national football team have their next match will come in handy if you are an expat in Argentina and you want to make small talk with the locals. Since football is very popular here, having some basic interest in it will go a long way when it comes to making friends with the locals.

Keep track of Argentinian national football team

I usually use the Goal.com Argentinian web page for keeping track of when the next game is going to be played by the national team. Next two matches might be very interesting, because the Argentinian team will do a mini tour of Europe and have friendly matches with Italy and Spain, fierce rivals of Argentina.

All these matches are a leadup to the World Cup which starts in June. Now that’s going to be something, the only drawback is that the world cup is being played in Russia, so getting there is going to be a bit more expensive then it was getting to the last World Cup which was played in Brazil. Anyway, if you find yourself in Argentina and you want to make friends with the locals but you don’t know anything about football or who Lionel Messi is, then you better start cramming. Because that’s one topic that will surely be a great conversation starter.
