This topic kinda, sorta covers talk about weather because we do talk about what kind of climate Buenos Aires has, which is probably the second most asked question that I get. Most of the time I talk about the weather because people are interested in what kind of clothes they should bring when they are visiting Buenos Aires.
What kind of clothes to pack for trip to Buenos Aires
Those who are visiting Argentina, and coming to Buenos Aires from the United States for example, should keep in mind that seasons are switched in the southern hemisphere. Summer lasts from December to February and winter June through August. Summery are hot and humid, depdning on which part of the country we’re speaking, and winters cold and dry.
During the winter, southern parts of the country get colder, have frost and snow. Northern are mostly cold. Buenos Aires is sort of middle ground, with hot summers and moderate winters. So if you were expecting to just pack light for a visit to Buenos Aires, think again. You need to bring clothes which are in season.
